Canadian artist Grant Fuller was born in Winnipeg in 1943. He lived on the west coast from the age of two, started high school at Cowichan in Duncan and finished grade twelve graduating from Oak Bay High in Victoria. He took four years of college at the Vancouver School of Art, and went to Toronto in 1965 to begin a career in commercial art. He started as a layout artist and soon was promoted to Art Director and later to Advertising Manager for Sears Fashion,he worked with the top photographers and artists in New York, Montreal and Chicago.

Then came the opportunity to manage broadcast production. His experience in art directing both still photo, film for T.V. and video tape took him to location shoots in Florida, Arizona, Puerto Rico, and California. He supervised the production of more than 300 TV and 1000 radio commercials.

In 1984 he and his lovely wife Myrna returned home to Victoria where Grant would take up painting and teaching watercolour full time.

North Light Books has recently published his painting instruction book titled “Watercolor A to Z”. It is available through the North Light Book Club, Amazon, Chapters and most any book store.

Grant’s paintings have won several jurors awards and have been featured in magazine and newspapers at local and international levels.

In 2006 the Fullers moved to Comox, B.C. where Grant continues to teach, paint and travel to teach workshops at the request of various art groups.
